Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors, and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a critical illness. In the US and its territories, a wish is granted every 34 miles – a wish can be that spark that helps these children believe that anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illnesses. This one belief guides and inspires Make-A-Wish to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve. Today, Make-A-Wish has granted hundreds of thousands of life-changing wishes to children battling critical illnesses. These wishes give families hope through dark times, strength to persevere, and experience that forever change lives.
On average, Make-A-Wish Georgia grants 400+ wishes per year, and 79% of these wishes involve air travel. Since Make-A-Wish serves some of the most fragile community, their health continues to be at the forefront of the work Make-A-Wish does. Their mission is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. While their mission is being challenged, Make-A-Wish remains dedicated to delivering hope and joy to the families they serve. During this time, they are extremely grateful for the community that supports them. The postponement of wishes means there will be more wish kids in Georgia waiting for a wish than ever before.
Please join us in fundraising for the Run For Wishes Georgia to unite people who believe a single wish has the power to transform lives.
