Destiny & Josie Bendell $3,171.00 raised!

Destiny’s 14-year old daughter Josie was in a bad accident last Monday. She has been in and out of the hospital and has been dealing with major head trauma, road rash, and extreme pain. She has been to see several specialists who are helping her with her Post Concussive Syndrome, wound recovery and vision. However, much of the therapy recommended by the doctors is very expensive and not covered by insurance at all. In addition, she is having to pay someone to help sit with her daughter so she can work as she cannot be left alone.
Destiny’s family is needing some encouragement and prayers in this incredibly tough time, but she also is facing the expense of hospital bills, doctors, and longer-term care.
Our T&H Family is known for stepping up when one of us is in need. This Friday’s Jean Day will be dedicated to Destiny to help her with her medical bills. Please be generous and keep Destiny, Josie, and Davidson (Josie’s 11-year-old brother) in your thoughts and prayers.

I was the kid that never wore a helmet through skating, longboarding, wakeboarding, and snowboarding my entire life. Love the Onewheel but definitely knew before it even arrived the importance of respecting what can go wrong and ordered a helmet just after completing the online purchase. Still haven’t taken any real falls but the reason for this message is just that.
Growing up skating was great for learning how to run out of a potential fall, where you leave the board behind and run rather than the alternative. As your young rider gets back into it, I would recommend maybe practicing this at low speeds in the grass as this has often, and literally this morning, saved me from quite a few bad spills on concrete!
Much love to you guys and I wish you all the best in recovery! This is one hell of a community built around these tools and we’re all here to help in whatever way we can.
Kind regards,

Destiny,
I am so sorry Josie, you, and the rest of your family are having to go through this. It must be hard to see your child get hurt and have to suffer. I wish for Josie a full recovery.
Best,
