During and after hurricane Florence the number of animals arriving at our shelter has increased dramatically. We are working hard to help these lost and wandering dogs and cats who have been fortunate enough to find shelter with us. For each and every animal that arrives at the shelter we provide for medical needs, food, adoption services and most of all Love for these scared and traumatized animals.

The facility is in dire need of a new roof. We had scheduled to start work on the roof the second week of January. With the increase in the number of animals and the new roof we have an urgent need for additional funds, so any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated by us and the soon to be someones pets we are sheltering.

The MatchingFund Org is providing $5,000 in matching funds for this cause. The MatchingFund will Match all donations up to $5,000. Through your generous donations Coastal Animal Rescue could raise $10,000 or more to help care for the animals left without homes.

Animal Rooms

Coastal Animal Rescue is proud to be a cage-free, no-kill, 100% volunteer cat and dog shelter in South Carolina.  Our mission is to place rescued cats and dogs into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe and loving home for unwanted cats and dogs  in a unique, cage-free environment; to prevent pet over-population through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

OUR MISSION:

In addition, Coastal Animal Rescue:

– Feeds feral cat colonies from Georgetown to Little River and TNR all of them.  Approximately 300 cats in total.

  – Has never euthanized an animal except to eliminate suffering and imminent death.

– Teach responsible pet ownership to school children.

Please help these abandon future pets.  This is an on going and growing issue that will continue for many months to come.

Thank You,

The Coastal Animal Rescue Volunteers.
